Sholingur Thatiyaradhanai Kainkaryam:
With Lord Lakshmi Narasimhar’s Krupa and our acharya’s blessing, I hope everyone will be doing great.
This year 3 days function at sholingur went very well, thought of sharing this information with all of you.
Friday :  05/12/2014,
The day started with Anugraham and blessing of Sri – Kovil Kandathai Chandamarutham Dottaiayarachayar ( Singarachariyar ) Swamin, we all went to H.H house and seek his blessings. Around 9:30 AM annadhana started here at our premises.
1. Around 10:30 we had a spiritual disclosure, it went for 1.30 hrs.
2. We started our Annadhana with a sweet “Kesari “ distrusted to 150 People and then followed by Pongal.
3. Around 5:30 – Sumangali’s did Thiru Vilaku pooja – for 1 hrs, Around 12 Sumangali performed for welfare of this society.
4. Around 6:30 – Bajans and keerthans – followed by feast followed. – We were able to serve for 250 devotees.
Saturday : 06/12/2014
Another blissful day,  Started bit early,
1. Around 9:00 AM we had Vishnu sharasanama prayana and followed by prasadam to Lord Narasimhar.
2. We had 2 spiritual disclosures.
3. Morning we started with Pongal – distribution to 200 people, This will happen at temple for devotees who come to have darshan.
4. Then followed by – Sweet and Kadambam ( Sambar Rice) – 600 people.( This  will happen at temple for devotees who come to have darshan.)
5. Evening we had Bajans and keerthans – followed by feast followed. – We were able to serve for 250 devotees.

Sunday : 07/12/2014.
The most vibrating day, where we can see lakhs and lakhs of devotees will start climbing the hills from early morning 2:00 AM, So we also started very early,
1. Morning around 4:30 Am we had Nathaswaram – Mangalam music to lord narasimhar and offered Sweet and pongal.
2. The offered Prasadam was distributed to devotees from early morning 6:00 AM.
3. Around 400 People were offered with Kesari .( This  will happen at temple for devotees who come to have darshan.)
4. Around 400 People were offered with Pongal. .( This  will happen at temple for devotees who come to have darshan.)
5. We had Veda’s chanting and food offering to Lord narasimhar – It was real grand feast – around 21 items of food was offered to Lord Narasimhar and it was distributed to 400 people.
6. As it was Karthikail Karthigai and Thirumangai Azhwar thirunaktshram- lots of sweets were distributed to devotees who come to have darshan each with good quantity serving 600 people each.
7. This blissful Sunday got over with a small bajan and keethan.
With all of your blessings and help we were able to do this anna dhana with a great joy ( Serving devotees).

3. Around 1:00 PM we had another spiritual disclosure from Sri. U.VE. Rajahamsa swamin on “Azhawar’s Anubhavam”  -it was really very great and vibrating to understand Azhawars mind and anubhavam in Divya prabhandam.
4. Around 5:30 – Sumangali’s did Thiru Vilaku pooja – for 1 hrs, Around 12 Sumangali performed for welfare of this society.
5. Around 6:30 – Bajans and keerthans – followed by feast followed. – We were able to serve for 250 devotees.

Saturday : 30/11/2013
Another blissful day,  Started bit early,
1. Around 9:00 AM we had Vishnu sharasanama prayana and followed by prasadam to Lord Narasimhar.
2. We had Dwadasi Parayanam with all Dwadasi feast – served to 350 People.
3. We had 2 spritual disclosure – 1 from Aasuri Sudha ammangar and 1 from Sri U. VE. Nandakumar swamin ( both from sriperumbudhur)
4. Morning we started with Pongal – distribution to 200 people, This  will happen at temple for devotees who come to have darshan.
5. Then followed by – Sweet and Kadambam ( Sambar Rice) – 600 people.( This  will happen at temple for devotees who come to have darshan.)
6. Evening we had Bajans and keerthans – followed by feast followed. – We were able to serve for 250 devotees.

With all of your blessings and help we were able to do this anna dhana with a great joy ( Serving devotees).

On August 9th, 10th and 11th we are planning to go to Ahobilam, Rs 3000 / per person has been fixed for this yatra.

Works of swAmi piLLai lOkAcharyar

In the vast ocean of Veda and vEdAntha, swAmi Pillai lOkAcharyar concentrated solely in documenting the rahasya related subjects. SwAmi PiLLai lOkAcharyar's life mission was to achieve a synthesis between the philosophic tone and methodology of the vedantha, and aruLicheyal's of azhwars.In the SrIvaishNava sampradAyam, two manthra's-Thirumanthram and Dwayam- and one sloka- charamaSlOkam- together are considered as rahasya thraya. They are referred to as rahasyas, because of the nature of the esoteric meanings contained in them. Their upadEsam as well as initiation were not done in public and were also not easily available from acharyas. In rahasya thraya, the entire meaning of the Vedas and vedantha are abstracted. The knowledge of rahasya thraya, invokes the dharma-bhUtha-jnAna (attributive conciousness) of the jivAthmA with an end result of moksham. This explains why their meanings, upadESam and kalakshEpam were kept secret. The rahasya thraya along with the knowledge of thathwathraya and artha panchakam constitute the fundamental doctrine of viSishTAdwaitha siddhAntham.
The voyage begins and the final days.
Years passed by swAmi azhagiyamaNavALaperumAL nAyanAr ascended to paramapadam, survived by swAmi piLLai lOkAcharyar. Soon the calm and golden days will be coming to an end. The period of nampiLLAi and periya-v-AcchAn piLLai were golden days, as the political atmosphere was calm, the kings favoring the temple administration, the day to day living was smoother. This gave our acharyas to concentrate more on writing down commentries of nalayira divyaprabandham, than looking for solving problems 22 around. Due to political discrepancies and a fight for throne in the pandyan dynasty there were external interferences in the kingdom which in turn affected SrIrangam as well. Allaudin Khilji was ruling Delhi at that time he sent his army with the leadership of Malik Kafur to sack pAndya kingdom. On CE 1311 Srirangam was sacked by the Muslim invaders, but the temple was left unharmed, in the second invasion in CE 1318 too there was not much problems.
Finally it was the year of CE 1323 a big army with the leadership of Uloob Khan (who later ruled Delhi sultanate with the name of Mohammad Bin Tuqlaq) camped near to Kannanur (the present day Samayapuram). The army had only one aim at this time, to destroy the beautiful periyaperumAL vigraham, and to loot the unaccountable wealth of SrIrangam. While perumAL thiruvArAdhanam and uthsavam was going on, in the pantriAzhwAn sannidhi news came that the army is going to sack Srirangam soon.
SwAmi piLLai lOkAcharyar, had to make decisions very quickly. He discussed the matters with swAmi vEdAntha dEsikan, and SudarSana bhaTTar. They started to act swiftly. They covered the entrance to the main altar of the Lord with bricks and cement, so that the enemy won't be able to identify the main Sanctum Santorum. In order to ensure that the enemy should not break through the bricks looking for the main deity, they placed one of the five processional deities in front of the brick-wall and lit a lamp so that the burglars cannot reach the main deity. Over night a small group of SrIvaishNavAs leaded by the ripe old swAmi piLLai lOkAcharyar, left Srirangam to thirumAlirumchOlai, carrying namperumAL in a small palanquin. swAmi vEdAntha dESikan, carried the olai chuvaTi (palm leaf manuscripts), containing, Srutha prakASika, the great commentary on SrIbhAshyam written by sudarSana bhaTTar, grand son of vEdavyAsa bhaTTar. He took the two kids of sudarSana bhaTTar also into his protection. A small group with piLLai lOkAcharyar and his disciples, managed to trek through the rough and tough terrains, forests and reached thirumAlirumchOlai.

Sannadhi cleaning Kainkaryam @ Srirangam – Koorathazhwan Sannadhi and Manavala Mamunigal Sannadhi – Thiruvellarai

On Jan 12th 2013, we clebrated real Bhogi at these two sannadhi's, Team of 6 started from chennai and went to Thiruvellarai to start our first Uzhavaram Pani.

Sholingur Thatiyaradanai kainkaryam - Update As you all are aware that last weekend sholingur annadhana function went in a very grand manner. It was such a wonderful event and I wondered many times to see how organised the things went as planned.

Friday: 30/11/2012
Day started with blessings and anugraham of Sri. U.Ve. Kovil Kandhadai Chandamarudham Doddayacharyar Vendanthacharyar(Vardhaman) Swamin, we went to tirumaligai of swamin and got his blessings to start the function at sholingur, We were accomponied by Sri U.Ve. K.B. Devarajan Swamin.

When things were getting ready in kitchen Swamin Sri U.Ve. K.B Devarajan Swamin started spritual disclosure in topic" Akkarakanni" Name of Lord Narasimhan in Sholingur. The disclosure went for around 2 hrs and then food was ready for 150 people. during the corse of time we prepared "Pongal" and "Kesari" and was distributing to the devotees who came as pilgrimage.

Annadhana started around 10:30 AM and went till 1:30 PM. At evening 4:00 PM we started our second upanyasam on "Azhagiyan thane ari vuruvam thanE" by AVR swami of Thiruchitra koodam. It was very hilarious upanyasam and it got completed by 5:30 PM, Followed by Thiru Vilakku Pooja and the Bajan @ 6:30 PM for 1hr, We prepared Pongal, Kesari, Sundal, Vada Malai, Fruit Salad and Panagam offered to Lord Narasimhar and then distributed to around 250 People.

Saturday 01/12/2012 Day began very early all asthigas nicely chanted Vishu Shasanamam, Upadesa rathina malai and Other Desigan Sostras. Then we offered Pongal to Lord Narasimhar and then we started our Annadhanam. As expected Lots of devotees came over saturday and we distributed Pongal for 450 People and then around 900 people Sambar rice. Along with this we distributed "Mysore Pak" for 1600 devotees. Inside the charam we distributed around 500 people full meals. In course of time Sri U.Ve. P.B.A Rajahamsam swamin gave upanyasam on "Hanumath prabhavam".

Annadhana started around 10:00 AM and went till 2:30 PM.
Saturday evening started with sweet special upanyasam by Sri.U.Ve. Aasuri sudha ammangar on Pirati Vaibhavam, followed by Bajans and food distribution at night. We prepared Upma, Kesari, Sundal, Vada Malai, Fruit Salad and Panagam offered to Lord Narasimhar and then dirstributed to around 350 People. We were getting prepared for Sunday (the Big day) .

Sunday 02/12/12
The Grand highlight of the annadhana function is sunday, early morning 3:00 AM we all got ready and 4:00 AM we started the day with Nathaswaram music consort for 1:30 Hrs, Then we invited around 10 Vedic scholars to recite Upanishads and Veda sathumurai for Lord Narasimhar, The Whole Kalayana mandapam was echocing the vedas that is being recited by scholars. Around 8:30 all food was offered to Lord Narasimhar and then we started the annadhana around 8:30 AM.

Food distributed outside for devotees climbing the hill were
1. Pongal for 850 People
2. Sambar rice for 900 People
3. Pulihora for 600 People
4. Sweet Pongal for 500 People
5. Curd Rice for 400 People
6. Sweet - Milk cake for - 1600 people
7. Payasam for 200 people
8. Kathabam for 100 people
Annadhanam inside with 21 menus was served from 9:00 AM to 3:00 AM for around 550 People.

In total : 300 Kgs bags of rice has be distributed with all your krubas to devotees.
